The Finch Brook Trail is an easy little loop trail in the middle of a residential area. Throughout most of the trail you can see homes. It is a cute trail, but outside of being an official Blue Blazed trail, and convenient access for those who live here, there really isn’t a compelling reason to visit.
My notables: framed poems by a variety of poets, club moss (trenises), skunk cabbage, cool rocks, and several split rocks. One negative notable was the litter.
A portion of Maya Angelou’s poem, A Brave and Startling Truth is one of the framed poems on this trail.
We, this people, on a small and lonely planet
Traveling through casual space
Past aloof stars, across the way of indifferent suns
To a destination where all signs tell us
It is possible and imperative that we learn
A brave and startling truth
Adventures included: Jes, Bryan, Dana & Dogo
