The Hancock Brook Trail was great — a hidden gem for the area! If I lived closer, I would make this a go to place for a quick hike.

The trail starts out pretty flat and is a dirt path next to the Hancock Brook. We had beautiful ice features along the way including a dragon. About a mile and half in the trail sharply turns and then goes up a steep hill. My calves felt the burn. The reward was the Lion Head Summit. Not only was the view rewarding, but the rocks are embedded with quartz and garnets. Dana found some amazing garnets.

(Side note: Today was pretty special as it was the 2 year anniversary of Tangled Up in Blue!)
