Parking at Breakheart Pond Arcadia Trailhead Parking, Exeter, RI. ~5.9 miles and 2 hrs 21mins

This is my third time hiking in the Arcadia Management Area and so far all three trips have been great. The area is very peaceful and pretty. The trails are primarily flat with just a couple inclines. I am told most of Rhode Island is this way.

Breakheart Trail goes around the pond and then some. We didn’t do the entire trail due to time constraints. We took the Penny Hill cutoff to Plain Road to Austin Farm Rd back to the lot.

Notables from this hike were the water features, the tree growing out of another tree, rocks, and the usnea.
