Nipmuck Trail Part 2

East Branch: Starting at the DEP parking lot at 33-27 N Windham Rd., Mansfield, CT and ending back at the Historical Society – 7.49 miles

Today we did the east branch of the Nipmuck trail. It was a pretty easy trail. It is slightly longer and it is hillier than the west branch, but nothing difficult. For those doing the trail the opposite direction it would be mostly downhill or flat. The terrain is mixed with some parking lots and roadways.

Overall it is a pretty hike with the Mansfield Hollow Reservoir next to the trail and old trees all around. There are two old railway bridges that were moved to the trail which is cool, but besides that there was nothing overly notable.

Adventurers include: Jes, Dana, Logan, Bryan and Arrow
